Pray for Mrs. Smith

2-6-10

Mrs. Smith has had another good week. She is showing some small signs of improvement but still has a long way to go. Your continued prayers are appreciated. Thank you for your cards, letters, emails, etc. She appreciates every one and we thank God for your friendship.

1-29-10

Mrs. Smith has had a good week. The Lord has blessed in that her pain has been easier to manage with even less medication! We are thankful to Him for His blessing, and to you for your love, friendship and prayers. Please continue to pray for the First Lady of FWBT!

1-18-10

Mrs. Smith came home from the hospital today. Considering her medical history and current condition, conventional treatment would not be an effective option. She may be pursuing alternative treatment in the near future. Your continued prayers are very important. Thank you for praying!

1-15-10

Because of confusion between the oncologists, Mrs. Smith did not receive a final prognosis until last night. They give her little hope, but we firmly believe God has a different plan. Many people are praying, and she is doing a little better each day over the last few days! She will be in the hospital until at least Monday, and probably begin some type of treatment next week. By Sunday, more information should be available and Bro. Smith will make an announcement at church. Please continue to pray. Your cards, letters and continued prayers are so very much appreciated.

1-13-10

Mrs. Smith is currently in Harris Methodist Hospital in downtown Fort Worth. Doctors feel sure the tumor is sarcoma and is very aggressive. Tonight, she will be getting a second opinion and discussing a treatment plan. Treatment with chemotherapy may begin as early as tomorow, in Fort Worth, under the supervision of Dr. Robert Benjamin of M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Mrs. Smith is not up to visitors at this time, but cards may be sent to the church. Your continued, fervent prayers are very much appreciated.

1-9-10

Tests have revealed an 8cm tumor in Mrs. Smith’s lower spine. Doctors believe it is probably sarcoma. More tests are ongoing at this time. Your continued prayers are appreciated.

1-8-10

Mrs. Smith has been admitted to the hospital. Tests are ongoing. Your prayers are appreciated.
